About

I am a documentary and art photographer whose work is shaped by my decades-long Buddhist practice and the core principle of paying close attention to the world just as it is. Photography helps me examine the world more attentively and experience it more fully.

I have been shooting photographs since childhood, when my father and I built a darkroom in our basement. Although I miss the smell of chemicals and the lovely red light of a darkroom, all my images are shot and edited digitally now.

I have photographed for a wide range of media outlets, including SFist, The Frisc, Mission Local, and USA Today. My art photography has been selected for exhibitions at the Sausalito Center for the Arts, the Drawing Room Gallery, ArtSpan, and the Sacramento Fine Arts Center. I am a member of the City Art Gallery artist cooperative.
