About

Ted Weinstein

Ted Weinstein is a documentary and fine art photographer whose decades of Buddhist practice help him observe the world with mindfulness and clarity.

Rather than allowing viewfinder and lens to distance him from the present moment, he uses the camera as a tool to go beyond the limitations of the human eye and encourage the deepest attention to the here and now that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Each photograph serves as a deliberate act of presence and observation that encourages his own and the viewer’s full attention. His work is an invitation to see the world anew – to pause, to look closer, to fully witness each unique place and moment in the everyday.

Ted has photographed for a wide range of media outlets, including USA Today, SFist, The Frisc, and Mission Local. His art photography has been exhibited at the Sausalito Center for the Arts, the Drawing Room Gallery, ArtSpan, the Sacramento Fine Arts Center and City Art Gallery.
