About

Ted Weinstein

Ted Weinstein is a documentary and fine art photographer whose decades of Buddhist practice help him observe the world with mindfulness and clarity.

Rather than allowing viewfinder and lens to distance him from the world, he uses the camera as a tool to encourage close attention to the here and now that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Each of his photographs is a deliberate act of presence and observation, which encourages his own and the viewer’s full attention. His work is an invitation to see the world anew – to pause, to look closer, to fully witness the bold reality of each moment.

Ted has photographed for a wide range of media outlets, including USA Today, SFist, The Frisc, and Mission Local. His art photography has been exhibited at Sausalito Center for the Arts, Drawing Room Gallery, ArtSpan, Room & Board, Sacramento Fine Arts Center and City Art Gallery.
